This metal processing company contacted us to discuss their current system and explore the ways in which they could make improvements to meet the current environmental standards.
Upon our visit, we learnt that the customer utilised waste products to heat their oxidiser. However, the days in which it would take to heat the systems were causing a negative impact on the emissions being produced. Also due to the historical design, the system lacked repeatability and control. Therefore, we suggested implementing a pre-heat (RF-TC) burner to raise the initial temperature to 800°C, enhancing the stability of the process and significantly reducing the emissions.
With the use of Siemens LME75 Controls, we could achieve better monitoring, and fault finding and therefore improved efficiency due to reduced downtime.
The burner system was designed, installed and commissioned by Comtherm and our Service Team. Please get in touch if you have any questions for us.
